MMR on the Art Scene!

Internationally recognized for his three-dimensional floral artworks crafted from rice paper and acrylic paint, Zhuang Hong-Yi stands out as one of the most distinctive contemporary artists of his generation. In collaboration with Galerie LeRoyer, he was seeking an inspiring and well-equipped space to finalize a new collection—and found the ideal setting at Menuiseries Mont-Royal.

Our adjacent painting facilities provided the artist with an environment that was both technical and welcoming, allowing him to continue his creative process seamlessly. It was a privileged opportunity to exchange ideas with him about his artistic approach, which is deeply shaped by the dialogue between traditional Chinese art and contemporary Western influences.

Impressed by the quality of our spaces and equipment, Zhuang Hong-Yi is even considering replicating our facilities in his own studio in Beijing.
